Fire safety regulations have recently undergone a large number of changes, with new mandatory requirements already in force across the country. We are continuing to educate the construction industry regarding fire protection solutions, via our fire protection CPD.
Is test evidence and accreditation important?
Mist Fire Suppression systems should be fully compliant with British Standards (BS EN 14972-1 and BS EN 14972-17). They should be independently fire tested, approved and accredited.
How do mist systems and sprinklers differ?
We look at how mist systems achieve the same results as sprinkler systems, with a fraction of the water usage and no need for stored water supplies.
How does mist suppress fires?
Complete with demonstration videos, we show you how water mist suppression systems fight fires while the fire brigade are en route.
What properties are suitable for mist systems?
Fire suppression systems can be fitted in almost all properties. We outline case studies from one-bed apartments to 500-bed student accommodation properties.
About the Host: Eddie
Eddie spent 10 years in London Fire Brigade working as a firefighter, including a period of temporary promotion to Crew Manager, before leaving in 2018 to join iMist™. He attended major incidents such as Westminster Bridge and the Vauxhall helicopter crash, along with the usual day-to-day incidents which weren’t limited to just fires.
