Background
Queens Court is a large student accommodation building with over 56 apartments. This project is located in the heart of Reading, within a five-minute walk of the town centre. The building houses the students in a variety of rooms, ranging from studio apartments to 4-bed penthouses.
Solution
iMist completely finished the installation of 56 fire suppression systems in all 56 apartments within 56 days. iMist was chosen as the only fire suppression provider that offered an inexpensive retrofit without inconveniencing any of the occupants. All the works were carried out while the students remained on-site.
Multi-occupancy buildings, such as this, are required to meet stringent fire safety and building standards and regulations, with many now requiring the mandatory inclusion of AFSS.
