Rogallo Place in Kent is a large care home facility designed to provide both comfort and safety for its residents. The development features 63 one and two-bedroom apartments, alongside a wide range of communal spaces, including lounges, restaurants, activity rooms, and even a hairdressing salon. With numerous shared and private areas, ensuring comprehensive fire protection was crucial.
Late in the project, it became clear that to comply with Fire and Building Control requirements, a fire suppression system would need to be installed. iMist™ was brought in to provide a solution that offered full protection without disrupting the day-to-day lives of residents.
The team retrofitted 303 nozzles throughout the building, taking particular care to ensure that residents remained on-site during the works. Despite the project’s scale and sensitivity, the installation was completed in just eight weeks, providing Rogallo Place with discreet and effective fire protection tailored to the needs of a care environment.
