Denmead Grange Care Home offers residential care, dementia care, and respite/short-term stay options meaning safe evacuation in the event of a fire could take longer. To ensure their safety, the iMist™ fire suppression system was chosen to provide vital additional time during an emergency, protecting some of the most vulnerable members of the community and giving peace of mind to both residents and staff.
To protect residents – particularly those with limited mobility or living with dementia – iMist™ installed more than 300 nozzles across 60 single rooms and communal areas. The full installation was completed in under 5 weeks, with minimal disruption to daily life, while residents were in situ.
The fire suppression system provides residents and staff with critical extra time in the event of a fire, offering rapid response and enhanced safety. This is especially valuable in a care environment with a diverse mix of needs, including dementia care, residential living and respite support.
Thanks to the swift and efficient delivery, the home was able to remain fully operational throughout, while gaining a reliable, future-proof fire safety solution designed to protect lives for years to come.
