Background

Caradog House, located in the heart of Cardiff, was originally a commercial office building before being transformed into a £13 million student accommodation development. Completed in late 2018, the property now offers high-quality living for hundreds of students.

Solution

The seven-storey development provides accommodation for 378 students across a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, alongside modern amenities such as a cinema, games room and 24/7 on-site gym.

As part of a phased construction programme, iMist™ designed and installed a high-pressure water mist system throughout the building, completing the work within six months. Today, iMist™ continues to service the system annually to ensure pumps operate efficiently, software remains up to date where required, and nozzles remain free of obstructions—guaranteeing ongoing safety and reliability for residents.
