Background
iMist™ was contracted to install a fire suppression system in a newly renovated student accommodation building. The property spans seven floors and comprises 150 apartments, designed to accommodate a large number of students.
Given the high occupancy and increased fire risk, Building Control recommended the installation of a fire suppression system to enhance resident safety and reduce risk within the building.
Solution
iMist™ designed and installed a high-pressure water mist system to protect the entire building. The system includes seven zonal monitoring valves, providing comprehensive coverage and enabling rapid identification of any activation within specific zones.
To ensure ongoing reliability, iMist™ will carry out annual servicing of the system, maintaining pump warranties and confirming all components function as intended. This guarantees long-term protection for the students calling this building home.
